Big Fun with Big Bay

Our first Fun Day of 2013 was Big FUN in Big Bay with Grade R children from Ubunye Educare in Du Noon! We met the beautiful (and so well mannered) children at the Educare Centre and started the day of with some fun ice-breakers to help us all get to know each other and find our silly sides. After we had 'snaked' or way to the bus as one large Shongololo we set of for a delicious lunch at Golden Bay Spur in the Seaside Village in Big Bay. The staff at the Spur were very friendly, the restaurant amazing with a large indoor play area and the food was as always yummy! The kids ate, coloured, played and dressed-up in a Spur mask with their volunteers.

After lunch (and ice cream sundaes) we went down to the Big Bay beach where we played in the sand, built sandcastles, played soccer and other sports, played games, splashed in the water and  ate ice bites. Whilst enjoying the beautiful beach views of Table Mountain and Robben Island we were watched over by the Big Bay Lifeguard team- A huge thank you to them for helping us keep our group safe whilst having a splash in the sea! Our group wasn't even bothered by the gusting wind and so many gorgeous photos were taken of our happy group.

What better way to start 2013 with summer weather, a beautiful view, great company and lots of interactive fun on the beach.
