"The language of love transcends all languages "" - Laila ( Span Volunteer )
" I had great day at St Josephs. The kids were suppose to be sickly but nothing can stand in the way of fun... No sickness should deprive a child from having a normal childhood.." - Tumi (Spur Foundation )
"Whether it is cold or warm kids are still kids.Let them jump up and down to circulate their blood and make them smile." - Natasha ( Truworths )
"Today was an enjoyable day. I had fun with the kids and the weather was not bad at all. Thanks to Sisanda and Spur Steak Ranches, I truly enjoyed myself" - Mahier (Rodeo Spur, Claremont )

Carnival Fun for Mandela Day

When we asked people to "Step Right Up" and join in on the Carnival fun, never could we have imagined just how much they would really step up! Despite the wind threatening to hinder the day's festivities, the sun pushed through and warmed us all up! And then the party started...

Our volunteers came out in full force to help us celebrate Mandela Day and have some fun with the children of St Joseph's Home. It was an action-packed day filled with laughter and excitement from both volunteers and children - there were jumping castles, face painters and magicians as well as delicious food to make this day a memorable one!

Thank you to Nadia and Mahier from Rodeo Spur in Claremont for creating such an inviting and playful environment for the children to enjoy! A special thank you to our volunteers for not only giving of their time and energy but for also contributing invaluable goods to St Joseph's.

As always, thank you to our sponsors for their continued support: HCI Foundation, Spur Foundation, Truworths and the National Lottery Commission.
