Two Ocean Aquarium, Waterfront

Under da Sea Fun Day

On Saturday, 17th September, Sisanda and a group of incredible volunteers partnered up with 30 children from Ncedolwethu Educare Centre in Mfuleni. We have worked with Florence Dodovu for many years now and it is quite extraordinary to see what she has achieved in this time.

After a tour of the Centre, we took the kids on an exciting trip to the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront, where they experienced the underwater magic of the ocean, marveling at Jellyfish, sharks, penguins and other marine wonders. A bit thank you to the Aquarium for giving the kids free entry!

After gazing at the mesmerising world under the sea, the volunteers and children were ready for lunch, and we made our way to the Santa Ana Spur where we were treated to a scrumptious lunch by the staff. The paintings and balloons were also a big hit with the kids.

After that, it was time to say goodbye, and the children headed back to Mfuleni on board the Golden Arrow bus, provided by the HCI Foundation.

Overall, it was an amazing day, sure to create beautiful memories for both the children and the volunteers.

Once, again, thank you to our sponsors who make these days possible: HCI Foundation, The Spur Foundation, National Lotteries Commission and Truworths.

Also, a very BIG thank you to Joshua Botha for capturing the day for us! Take a look at the beautiful photos.
