Movie Magic Day

In celebration of Cancer Month, and on the first day of the school holidays, we teamed up with the Sunflower Fund and took 30 children (aged 9 to 12) from Kewtown Primary School in Athlone to see The Secret Lives of Pets in 3D at Canal Walk. The day was kindly sponsored by O'Brien Recruitment Agency, whose amazing staff members also volunteered for the day!

The children were all given a sunflower bandana and they really enjoyed their 3D classes, popcorn and Cokes and the visual extravaganza of the movie. We followed up with a delicious trip to the Mexico Spur, where the kids enjoyed the games room and facepainting almost as much as their burgers. The meal was made complete with an ice cream before heading back home.

Thanks again to our usual sponsors: HCI, the Spur and Truworths. We'd also like to thank NuMetro, who gave us a block booking rate, even though it was a Saturday!
