After experiencing Saturday’s events it became clear that those wonderful children were teaching me life-skills too!

Hout Bay

We spent the day with 37 excited children and teens and some very involved volunteers who have started a special relationship supporting the children living at Al Noor's Children's Home. The day started with some time to say hello and breakfast made by the volunteers. A little after breakfast entertainment by Keenan the magician had us all in stitches. Afterwards, we headed off to Hout Bay for some adventure. Aboard the Circe Tours boat Calypso we headed out to Seal Island to see all the beauty that Hout Bay has to offer, and learn about our surroundings and the friendly seals. With a happy and helpful crew and so much to 'sea' we bounced over the waves with a splash or two to keep us on our toes. Once back on land we enjoyed a braai-ed buffet style thanks to our volunteers' families and friends. With more energy we hit the beach! On the beach we played some games, kicked the soccer ball around and generally had a nice time playing, splashing and swimming before it was time to head back.

Thanks to our Sponsors: Quinton and his friends, Circe Tours, HCI
