St Michael's Home and Patricia's Foster Home

Splish Splash!

On Saturday, the 23 January our first Fun Day for 2016 kicked off with a splash! We hosted two beneficiary sites: St Michael's Home for Abused Girls and Patricia's Foster Home in Vrygond.

As the bus pulled in to the parking lot, the excitement from the children reached fever pitch as we could see the water slides in the distance. After pairing everyone up with their volunteers for the day, we set off to get the party started! The weather was perfect, so the water was very inviting and in no time, both children and volunteers were running around, sliding on each available option and running back for more (even those children who were cautious at first, soon got caught up in the craze).

Once our time was up, we quickly got dry and ready to head for a delicious meal at the Little Creek Spur. It was a welcomed treat as we all needed to refuel and recharge for our putt-putt adventure! Jean and the wonderful ladies at the putt-putt decked everyone in gear to look the part and soon, the brightly coloured Sisanda t-shirts could be spotted across the entire area, darting from one hole to the next. There were some serious contenders who managed a few hole-in-one's, while the rest of the children were just trying to hit the ball as hard as they could!

Thank you to everyone who was involved in the day and an extra special thank you to our sponsors: Eniwe Children's Fund, HCI Foundation, Spur Foundation and the National Lottery Commission.
