Corefit Pilates @ Ikhaya le Themba

Our lovely volunteer Robyn Borowski is back - and with her comes the opportunity for up to 100 children from Ikhaya le Themba to get fit inside and out!

Between July and November, Robyn is offering bi-weekly fitness/wellness sessions with varying contents around a healthy body and mind.

The try-it-out session
on the lawn outside Ikyaha Lethemba (with around 30 of their children) went exceptionally well (see photos below) so we were looked forward to all subsequent sessions. We weren't disappointed - on the contrary: Robyn brought with her a whole team of loving volunteers and together they spent thorough fitness hours with the children: using core-muscles for strength, cardio-excercises for fitness and stretching excercises to complete the workouts. Everyone got on with each other so well, so at times sontaneous Dance-parties broke out at the end of the sessions. What a heart-warming experience.
A special THANK YOU goes to Robyn and the great(er) Corefit Pilates Family whose donation of sanitary towels for the so-called "Sisterhood organsation" (who are linked to Ikhaya Lethemba) made them exceptionally happy :)

We are looking forward to continuing this Circle until the end of this year!
